Avoid the lines, purchase your ticket online now! If purchasing your tickets at the Ticket Office, arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure or 45 minutes if transporting freight.
You have three options to purchase tickets:
1. Reserve and purchase tickets online.
2. At our ticket office in Homer.
3. At the Seldovia Visitor Center.

Book Online
Avoid the lines and book online! The boat is available to board 30 minutes before departure. The ferry departs promptly, please be on board at least 15 minutes prior to departure.
Pay attention to the tides. Extreme low tides can affect sailing time – make sure you check the reservation calendar to see any variations. If you are traveling at low tides the ramp angle may be extreme. View the local tide table.
Homer Ticket Office
You can purchase your Ferry tickets at the Homer Ticket Office which is located on the Homer Spit at Ramp 7, Dock JJ, next to the Homer Harbormaster’s Office.
Driving Directions
When driving out the Homer Spit Road:
- After you pass the Nick Dudiak Fishing Lagoon, turn left onto Freight Dock Road. (You will see a large halibut on a building to your left.)
- Follow Freight Dock Road around the bend to the other side of the small boat harbor; our parking lot is just past the Harbormaster’s Office on the right.
- You will arrive at Ramp 7 where you can purchase tickets and load the ferry. The address is 4323 Freight Dock Road.
Parking In Homer
Parking is limited in the Seldovia Bay Ferry parking lot; however, there is additional parking at Ramps 6 and 8 that is managed by the Homer Harbormaster’s Office. (If you plan on parking your car in their lots for more than 7 days, you will need to contact them at 907-235-3160 for a long-term parking permit.)
The Seldovia Bay Ferry lot is not subject to the 7-day limit; however, this lot is very small and long-term parking opportunities are extremely limited.
Seldovia Ticket Office
You can purchase ferry tickets in Seldovia at the Seldovia Visitor Center. Don’t forget you can also book online and skip the lines!
Seldovia Terminal
- The Seldovia Bay ferry is located in the Seldovia Boat Harbor.
- The ramp is across the street from the Seldovia Visitor Center where you can purchase tickets.
Visitor Center Ticket Office Hours
- 8-9 am (or 1 hour prior to departures if morning departure time changes)
- Noon to 5pm
